A virtual airline is a simulated version of a real-world airline that operates within the realm of flight simulation. It allows aviation enthusiasts to experience airline management and operations in a virtual environment. Members of a virtual airline typically take on roles such as pilots, dispatchers, or management staff, and they simulate flights using flight simulator software like Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, or Prepar3D.

Virtual airlines often have schedules, fleets, and routes that mirror real-world airlines, while others may create entirely fictional operations. These organizations provide a community for flight simulation enthusiasts to enhance their skills, participate in realistic operations, and share their passion for aviation.

We offer our pilots Checklists, Pilot Reference Guides, Standard Operating Procedures and much more flight essential stuff you need to get airborn. A good pilot is always learning, we have the needed documents for you available.

The Airbus Family

Airbus was founded in 1970 as a European consortium, created to challenge the dominance of American aircraft manufacturers. Its first aircraft, the A300, took flight in 1972, becoming the world’s first twin-engine wide-body jet. This innovation set the tone for Airbus’ future—combining efficiency, passenger comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
In the 1980s, Airbus introduced the A320, the first commercial aircraft to feature digital fly-by-wire controls, a system that revolutionized cockpit operations and is now standard across modern aviation. The company expanded its lineup with the A330 and A340 for long-haul travel, and in 2005, Airbus unveiled the A380, the largest passenger aircraft ever built, capable of carrying more than 850 passengers in an all-economy layout.
Today, Airbus is a global leader in aerospace, producing aircraft like the A350 XWB, known for fuel efficiency and advanced materials, and contributing to military aviation with models such as the A400M Atlas. Beyond aircraft, Airbus is also pioneering sustainable aviation technologies, aiming to reduce emissions and shape the future of flight.

🛫 Why It Matters for Virtual Airlines
Just as virtual airlines simulate real-world operations, Airbus represents the spirit of innovation and collaboration in aviation. Flying an Airbus in simulation—whether the A320 in Microsoft Flight Simulator or the A350 in X-Plane—connects pilots to this legacy of engineering excellence.
Airbus history is not just about aircraft—it’s about training, safety, and operational realism, values that virtual airlines also uphold.

Your Virtual Airline

Throughout the history of involvement with Virtual Airlines and Flight simulation in general I have like many pilots purchased flight simulation hardware rather than just use keyboard and mouse.

However and there are a number of you out there that have accumulated considerable Airbus hardware such as the TCA AIRBUS CAPTAINS PAck from Thrustmaster or a number of units from Winctrl.

The frustrating part is that many Virtual Airlines have a number of aircraft to use and thus the amount of Airbus Flights is somewhat reduced if especially you cannot fly them until you have reached a certain rank. Have you tried flying a Cessna 172 with a Thrustmaster Airbus Throttle Quadrant and sidestick , yes it would work but the experience is not that realistic.

So with access to a vast number of Airbus flight routes the idea came to me well why not build a unique Virtual Airline that has only flights for Airbus Aircraft thus 100% integration with all that hardware I and others have regardless of what flight simulator you are using.

Acknowledgements

Building a Virtual airline and Collecting all the data needed to set the system up requires a considerable amount of work in getting there.

Personally I would like to thank the following for providing software whether it is a download or API for the use in SUBRIA

AVIATION EDGE for industry standard flight data by use of API calls https://aviation-edge.com/

SIMVECTOR for having ready made PHPVMS v7 flight files that I can edit https://simvector.net/

I appreciate that these services are not Free but then they are both comprehensive in what detail they offer and worth the subscription
